The Middlebury women's golf team placed fourth among seven teams at the highly-competitive Ann S. Batchelder Invitational hosted by Wellesley at the Nehoiden Golf Course. Amherst took home the title with a 616, followed by Williams (620), NYU (628) and the Panthers (321-329-650). Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the Mount Holyoke Invitational.
Katharine Fortin led Middlebury at the event, finishing in a tie for 15th place with a 160, including a 77 on day one. Hope Matthews fired a 78 on Sunday, finishing with a 161 overall, good for 18th place. Next was Blake Yaccino in 22nd place with a 164 (80-84), followed by Helen Dailey, who tied for 23rd place with a 165 (81-84). Lilia Everson shot an 86 on day one, but did not compete on Sunday. Also competing for the Panthers was Chloe Levins, who carded a 170 (86-84).
