Williams leads after one day of play at the 2016 NESCAC Women's Golf Championship hosted by Middlebury College on the Ralph Myhre Golf Course. The Ephs shot a 315 on day one of the six-team event, followed by Middlebury (319) and Amherst (325). Action resumes on Sunday morning with the final 18 holes of the tournament.
Middlebury's Chloe Levins led the field, carding a three-over-par 74 on Saturday. The Williams duo of Sophie Kitchen (76) and Elizabeth Gudas (78) followed, while Zoe Wong of Amherst rounded out the golfers breaking 80.
Katharine Fortin and Blake Yaccino each shot an 80, Theodora Yoch came in with an 85, while Hope Matthews rounded out the Panthers with an 89.
