Women's Cross Country

Men Win, Women Third at Albany Invitational XCountry Meets

The Middlebury cross country teams took part in the Albany Invitational on Saturday, competing against teams from Divisions I, II and III. The Panther men took home the title in a 14-team field, while the women were third out of 13 teams. Middlebury returns to action in two weeks at the NESCAC Championships hosted by Wesleyan.

Sebastian Matt continued to pace the men's squad, covering the course in a time of 25:38 to place third among 158 racers. Placing sixth was Ascencion Aispuro, who was just six seconds behind in 25:44, while Sam Klockenkemper came in 15th with a time of 26:06. Connor Evans and Harrison Knowlton rounded out the team's scorers, placing 24th (26:21) and 26th (26:26), respectively.

Pacing the women once again was Abigail Nadler, who placed second in the 186-woman field with a time of 17:56. Katherine Tercek was the second Panther to cross the line, finishing in 15th place in 18:32. Placing 21st overall was Emma DeCamp (18:41), followed by Adrian Walsh in 23rd (18:43) and Katherine MacCary close behind in 24th (18:48).
