Several members of the #8 Middlebury women's cross country team competed in the Open 6K of the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University. The race drew over 400 runners across all three NCAA divisions as well as several club teams and unattached runners. Due to excessive heat, the White, Brown and Green Races were cancelled at the event to ensure athlete safety.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Pippa Barrett paced the Panther contingent in the morning's race, claiming 66th place with a time of 23:00.6.
- Molly Lesyna stopped her clock at 23:16.1 to join Barrett in the top 100, placing 83rd.
- Earning 120th was Stephanie Renouf, who posted a time of 23:49.8. Naomi Gomel crossed the finish line 3.2 seconds later (23:53.0) to take 126th.
- Sofia Mulada (24:08.0) and Regan Thomas (24:09.1) claimed 145th and 146th, respectively.
- Miya Cheng (24:11.4) and Lulu Baker (24:11.7) also crossed the line together, separated by three-tenths of a second in 153rd and 154th places.
- Isabel Limao took 177th after recording a time of 24:26.8, rounding out Middlebury's top-200 finishers.
NOTES
The Panthers are idle next week before trekking to the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, October 17. The meet will also serve as the squad's senior day.
