The Middlebury women's golf team opened its spring with a fifth-place finish at the 12-team Vassar Invitational. Williams won the event with a 633, followed by Ithaca (650), Cortland (658), NYU (662) and the Panthers (665). Action took place as the Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Jordan Glatt was Middlebury's top golfer at the event, shooting a pair of 79's for a 158 to finish in a fourth-place tie. Tied for 21st was Monica Chow, who shaved 10 strokes off her day one score (89-79-168). Michelle Peng came in 23rd (84-85-169), while Theodora Yoch was one stroke behind in a 24th-place tie (84-86-170). Rounding out the squad was Caroline Kenter, who came in 44th place overall (91-91-182).
