The Panther women's tennis team opened up its spring season by hosting three matches indoors over the weekend. Middlebury is currently ranked 10th nationally as they open spring play, returning to action on their annual spring break trip on March 23rd.

The season opened with a pair of 9-0 victories on Saturday. The Panthers earned the first win over #26 Brandeis 9-0, a team that had recent wins over #28 and #18 in the country. Middlebury followed that up with another sweep, this one coming against NESCAC foe Hamilton.

On Sunday, the Panthers made it a perfect 3-0 weekend with an 8-1 win over Bates to move to 2-0 in NESCAC play. Junior Brittney Faber (Minnetonka, Minn.) picked up a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles play, while also winning twice at #1 doubles to pace the Panthers.
