Cross Country Teams Dominate Invitational

The Middlebury cross country teams hosted the Panther Invitational races on campus Saturday with eight full men's teams and six women's squads in action. The Panthers dominated both races, placing seven men and eight women in the top 10.

Colette Whitney won the women's race with a time of 18:48, eight seconds ahead of her teammate Amanda Lee, who placed second. Margo Cramer was third (19:00), followed by Katie Rominger (19:01) and Maddie Hubbell (19:03) in fourth and fifth respectively. Also in the top seven were Addie Tousely (19:05) in sixth and Claire McIlvennie (19:13) in seventh.

Michael Schmidt won the men's race for the third straight year, finishing with a time of 27:01. Greg Krathwohl was next, just eight seconds behind in second place, followed by Jack Terrett, who finished fourth (27:20). Jack Davies came in fifth (27:40), Samuel Miller was sixth (27:43), Nate Sans placed seventh (27:53), while Leif Castern rounded out the top racers with a ninth place (28:00) finish.
