The Middlebury College women's cross country turned in an impressive fourth place finish at the 2009 NCAA Championship hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College at the Highland Park Golf Course in Cleveland, Ohio. The five-time NCAA Champs trailed only Wisconsin-Eau Claire, St. Lawrence and Calvin in the 32-team race. Middlebury's squad was comprised of two rookies, two sophomores, two juniors and one senior.

First-year racer Addie Tousley was Middlebury's top finisher at the race, placing 21st overall with a time of 22:43. She was the second-highest finishing rookie at the race and earned All-American honors. Not far behind was classmate Sarah Lange, who came in with a time of 22:54, good for a 27th-place finish. Junior Sophia Spring finished the race in 44th place (23:16), followed by sophomore Elise Moody-Roberts in 60th (23:33) and senior Amanda Quinlan (23:52) in 93rd place to round out Middlebury's scorers.
