The Middlebury women's tennis team picked up a tight 5-4 win over NESCAC foe Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers entered the match ranked ninth in the latest ITA national poll, while the Polar Bears sat in the 15^th slot.

Middlebury held a 2-1 lead early after winning a pair of tightly contested doubles matches. Bowdoin tied the match at two before the teams went back and forth, leaving the contest in a 4-4 tie as the #6 singles match was being played. Middlebury's Elizabeth Stone earned a 6-4, 6-5 win over Elizabeth Pedowitz, to seal the victory for the Panthers.
