Women's Tennis Edges Bowdoin

The Middlebury women's tennis team picked up a tight 5-4 win over NESCAC foe Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers entered the match ranked ninth in the latest ITA national poll, while the Polar Bears sat in the 15th slot.

Middlebury held a 2-1 lead early after winning a pair of tightly contested doubles matches. Bowdoin tied the match at two before the teams went back and forth, leaving the contest in a 4-4 tie as the #6 singles match was being played. Middlebury's Elizabeth Stone earned a 6-4, 6-5 win over Elizabeth Pedowitz, to seal the victory for the Panthers.
