Men's Basketball Moves To 10-2

Andrew Harris and Tim Edwards netted 20 points apiece to lead Middlebury to a 64-53 win over Colby-Sawyer (5-5) in Pepin Gym. The Panthers are idle for a week, when the visit Johnson next Tuesday, while the Chargers travel to Regis Saturday.

A 7-0 spurt in the first half gave the Panthers a 21-12 lead at the 7:03 mark. Colby-Sawyer cut the lead to four before a pair of three's from Harris gave Middlebury a 31-21 advantage. The Panthers held a 31-26 lead at halftime, as the Chargers shot just 9 of 31 from the floor.

Middlebury held a slim lead during the second half, until the Chargers went on a 7-0 run to take a 49-47 lead on a three-point play from Dave Rosso with 8:01 remaining. The Panthers led by a pair with 4:28 left, when Edwards hit a three and a pair of two's for a 7-0 run of his own to give Middlebury a 60-51 lead with just 2:39 remaining. The Panthers went 4-4 from the line to seal the victory.

Aiding the 40 points from Harris and Edwards were Kyle Dudley with 10 and Aaron Smith with nine points and eight boards. Edwards grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds in the game.

Rosso paced Colby-Sawyer with a dozen, while Andrew Cousins and Duncan Szeliga scored 11 apiece. Ryan Murray had a monster game on the boards, pulling down 19 on the night.
