Men’s Basketball Secures NABC Academic Honors

The Middlebury men's basketball team logged recognition from the NABC.

Six members of the Middlebury men's basketball team were named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court. The award highlights men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in the classroom.

Recent graduates Evan Flaks, Jackson McKersie and Edward Witherington tallied the honor, alongside rising seniors Kuba Cwalina, Rayanns Joseph and Ian Murray.

Eligible selections must be a junior or senior, hold a grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or above, and be at their current institution for at least one year. Additionally, the school must be an NCAA Division I, II, or III or an NAIA Division I or II college with an NABC member coach.

Alongside the individual honorees, Middlebury also garnered the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award. The accolade recognizes squads that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. A full list of honorees may be found here.
