Women's Golf Wins Own Tourney

The Middlebury College women's golf team rolled to another win as they shot a two-day total of 654 to win the Middlebury Invitational. Their nearest opponent, Williams, was 25 strokes back with a 679. Day one of the tournament was played at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College, while the final round was played at Neshobe in near-by Brandon, Vt.

Middlebury placed five of the top six golfers at the event, with Williams' Anne O'Leary earning medalist honors via a playoff, after shooting a 162.

Tying her with a 162 was Middlebury's Karen Levin. Finishing second were Julie Ellenberger and Heather Gallagher, each with 164. Just one stroke behind was Allison Ortega with a 165, followed by Kerry Ortega, who shot a 169.
