10/29/05 - The women's cross country team placed fifth overall at the 11-team NESCAC Championship hosted by Wesleyan University. Williams won the meet, followed by Amherst and Colby.

Leading the Middlebury women was Andrea Giddings, who placed 12th overall in 18:39, 45 seconds off the winning pace. Placing 17th was Makely Lyon in 18:59, followed closely by Alexandra Krieg in 18th place (19:00). Rounding out Middlebury's scorers were Claire Anderson in 35th place (19:30) and Erin Archard in 39th (19:33).
