10/2/05 - Middlebury won its own invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course as the women's golf team finished with a score of 657. Mt. Holyoke placed second, followed by St. Lawrence and Wellesley. The invitational, which also doubled as the NESCAC Women's Golf Tournament, saw NESCAC teams Williams (5th) and Bowdoin (8th) also competing with full teams.
Tory MacNeil led the Panthers at the two-day event, finishing in a second place tie with with a score of 159, five strokes off the winning pace. Next for the Panthers was Kerry Ortega in fifth (163) and Julie Ellenberger in a sixth place tie with a 167. Karen Levin (170) tied for eighth, while Allison Ortega (173) finished in a tie for 10th place to round out Middlebury's team.
