4/18/04 - The Middlebury College women's golf team opened its season by winning a four-team tournament hosted by Williams College. The Panthers came in with a 362, followed by Holy Cross, Williams and Vassar.

Leading Middlebury was first-year player Kerry Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.), who shot a 90 on the afternoon. Coming in with 91's were rookie Allison Ortega (Clinton, N.Y.) and classmate Heather Gallagher (Toronto, Ont.). The other scorer on the day was sophomore Lauren Young (Orinda, Calif.), who shot a 102.
