Castleton hit a 30-footer at the buzzer to hand Middlebury a 72-69 loss on the road. The Spartans held a slim first half lead with the Panthers taking a one-point advantage into the break. Middlebury led by as many as eight in the second half, before Castleton came back to regain the lead. The teams exchanged the lead in the final few minutes, before the Spartans inbounded the ball with 1.5 seconds left to set up the game-winner. Evan Thompson led Middlebury with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Mike Salek added 11, while Bobby Marcoux netted 10.
