The Middlebury men's basketball team hung with fourth-ranked Trinity for a majority of the game, but was unable to overcome the nationally-ranked foes as the Bantams earned a 56-41 victory.

HIGHLIGHTS
- David Brennan opened the scoring with nearly four minutes expired, making it 2-0.
- Trinity responded with 17-unanswered points over the ensuing 10 minutes of action, capping the run with a three-pointer by Henry Vetter at the 7:47 mark.
- The Panthers responded with a 6-2 spurt over the next four minutes, slicing the deficit down to 19-8 with 3:47 remaining in the half.
- The Bantams closed out the half with a 7-3 burst, taking a 26-11 lead at the intermission.Â
- A trio of charity tosses from Tristan Joseph and a jumper by Lamine Cisse closed the gap to 10 points (26-16) within 58 seconds of the second half starting.
- Trinity knocked down three shots from beyond the arc sandwiched around a layup from Brennan to give the Bantams their largest lead of the game (35-18) with 16:07 left on the clock.
- Middlebury continued to slowly chip away at the deficit, cutting the Trinity lead down to 10 on a pair of occasions, but the Panthers were unable to overcome the advantage as the Bantams hung on for the 56-41 win.
