The top-ranked Middlebury women's lacrosse team cruised past Lebanon Valley College 22-4 on Monday evening. Panthers

HIGHLIGHTS
- Middlebury got out to a fast start, rattling off eight-consecutive tallies over the opening 7:33 of action. Hope Shue sparked the run with a pair of quick free-position markers.
- The Flying Dutchwomen got on the board with 5:33 remaining when Emily Beard dished a nice pass to a cutting Veronica Venezia who slipped the ball into the upper right corner to make it 8-1.
- Panthers Erica Barr and Sara Ellinghaus closed out the opening quarter scoring frenzy, extending Middlebury's advantage to 10-1 at the break.
- Jane Earley, Shue, Caroline Messer, Jamee Numan and Kelcey Dion each scored during the second stanza, making it 15-1 heading into intermission.
- Out of the halftime break, Price converted a free-position tally while a player-up for her first career goal.
- Lebanon Valley's Venezia made it a 16-2 score with her second marker of the game at the 12:31 mark.
- The Panthers closed out the quarter with a 4-0 run, including goals from Burdine Atherton, Messer, Abby Hillebrecht and Addy Hayman to increase the lead to 20-2.
- Hamilton tallied her first career goal to start the final frame, before Alyssa Wene converted a free-position marker for Lebanon Valley to make it 21-3.
- Sydney Zimmerman added another goal for the Flying Dutchmen with 4:38 to go, before Price capped the scoring for the 22-4 triumph.
NOTES
- The Panthers have tallied 23 consecutive victories either away or on neutral fields, a streak dating back to 2019.
- The victory was the 11th straight for Middlebury.
The Panthers continue their spring break with a huge matchup on Thursday, taking on #3 The College of New Jersey who is also currently unbeaten (6-0).
