The fifth-ranked Middlebury women's lacrosse team (4-0, 3-0) scored the first four goals on its way to a dominant 18-8 win over NESCAC foe #17 Trinity (3-2, 2-1) on Saturday. With the victory, the Panthers extend their win streak to 29-straight victories, while recording 16 consecutive triumphs on Kohn Field. The Panthers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Pennsylvania to face 14th-ranked York College.

Jane Earley opened the scoring with 11:21 remaining in the first quarter by burying a free-position shot. The goal notched Earley the 100th point of her career. The Panthers scored the next three goals to open a commanding lead. With 11:04 to go,
Lily Riseberg came from around the goal to make a clean pass to
Maggie Coughlin, who scored. Riseberg assisted on the third goal as she came from behind the net to dish the ball to Earley who quickly shot and scored.
Hope Shue rounded out the first quarter scoring on a clean quick-stick shot with help from Coughlin.

The Panthers opened the scoring in the second quarter with a tally from Shue and a goal from
Callahan Drake which bounced in past the Bantam goalkeeper. Trinity and Middlebury exchanged goals for the remainder of the stanza, with Panther tallies coming from the sticks of
Niki Mormile, Riseberg, and Shue who notched a hat-trick for the quarter. The Panthers carried a 10-4 lead into halftime.

Trinity pressed quickly in the second half, winning the opening draw and scoring just eleven seconds in to cut the deficit in half (10-5). It would prove to be the closest the Bantams would get for the remainder of the game as the Panthers rattled off the next six goals and continued to pressure the Trinity defense. Riseberg scored the first two Panther markers of the half with an assist by Coughlin on the second one. Mormile added a tally before
Burdine Atherton scored her first collegiate goal off a cross from Earley.
Kelcey Dion followed that up by burying an unassisted shot to extend the lead to ten goals and keep the clock running.

Middlebury and Trinity each scored three times in the final stanza, with
Erin Nicholas getting on the board with an assist from Coughlin on the first possession. Trinity tallied two goals before Earley notched her second marker of the day off a quick-stick shot. Mormile provided the assist and then followed up with her own unassisted tally by bouncing the ball in.

The Panthers were paced by Earley who contributed six points on three goals and three assists. Riseberg added a trio of tallies and a pair of helpers, while Shue found the back of the net four times.
Kylie Wilson forced four caused turnovers for the hosts. The Bantams were led by Ellie Kirkpatrick with a goal and an assist, while Samantha Booma had a pair of tallies. Â

Annie Enrietto had seven saves to improve to 4-0 on the season. Trinity netminder Gabriella Young turned away ten shots. The Panthers outshot the Bantams 34-21 and had 17 ground balls to Trinity's 10.
