Volleyball Drops 3-0 Match At Endicott

The Middlebury volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision against Endicott during a doubleheader weekend on the road. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Gulls jumped out to an 8-3 lead and maintained an advantage for most of the opening set.
  • The Panthers slowly chipped away at the deficit, cutting it to one (20-19) on a service ace by Gabbie O'Toole.
  • Middlebury knotted the score at 21 points apiece, before taking its first lead of the contest (23-22) on a kill from Laney Sullivan, but Endicott closed out the set 25-23.
  • The Panthers took a 2-0 edge in the middle frame, but it was all Gulls from that point forward en route to the 25-18 victory.
  • Middlebury took a 7-4 advantage in the final set, highlighted by a pair of kills from Lexi Linafelter.
  • Endicott responded with a 10-1 run, taking a 14-8 lead and never looking back on its way to the 25-14 win.
NOTES
  • O'Toole extended her streak of tallying 20 or more assists in every match played (38), rattling off 30 during the contest. She also had three service aces.
