Panthers Finish In 12th Place At New England DIII Championships

Middlebury boasted a number of top-eight finishes at the 2020 New England Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday hosted by Springfield.  The Panthers earned 14.5 points to place 12th among the 24 scoring programs, with MIT taking top honors with 171 points. Middlebury is back in action next weekend, competing at the Tufts Last-Chance Meet. The top-eight finishers in each event earned All-New England honors.

The Panthers claimed fourth place in the 4x400 relay, as the quartet of Arden Coleman, William Robertson, Matthew Durst and Nathan Hill combined for a time of 3:24.85. In the 3,000 meters, Will Meyer crossed the finish line in 8:43.05, placing seventh.

Middlebury added a of fifth-place finishes in the field events. Jonathan Fisher cleared the bar at 6'5.5" in the high jump, while Nathaniel Klein had a heave of 48'2" in the shot put.
