Men's Golf One Stroke Off the Lead at NESCAC Championships

Hamilton holds a one-stroke lead over Middlebury after one day of action at the 2019 NESCAC Championship. The event is being hosted by the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. Day one consisted of nine holes of play, with the Continentals carding a 144. Middlebury shot a 145, followed by Trinity (149) and Tufts (159). Action concludes Sunday with an 18-hole round beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Will Rosenfield of Trinity had the best score on Saturday, firing a one-under-par 34 on the front nine. Amherst's Cameron Clark, Hamilton's Milan Matneja and Middlebury's Phin Choukas were all one stroke back with a score of 35.

Philippe Morin was the Panthers' next finisher, tying for fifth with a 36. One stroke back were Reid Buzby and Jeffrey Giguere, who each came in with a 37. David Packer rounded out the Middlebury squad with a 40 on day one.
