The Middlebury women's squash team wrapped up a busy weekend, posting a 7-2 home victory Sunday over No. 18 Bates in the Bostwick Family Squash Center. Winners of five matches in a row, the 15th-ranked Panthers (7-1) return to the court Thursday when they entertain 22nd-ranked Hamilton at 5:30 p.m.

In the win over the Bobcats (3-5), the Panthers were victorious in the first three matches to finish. Mira Chugh got Middlebury on the board with a three-game triumph against Tiffany Cervantes at No. 9 (11-2, 11-1, 11-0), while Alexa Comai made it 2-0 via a narrow three-game victory over Vicky Arjoon (11-9, 11-8, 11-9) in the third spot. Natalie Madden extended the Panther lead to 3-0 with a four-game win at No. 6 over Molly Brooks (11-4, 11-2, 11-13, 11-4)

Bates earned its first point of the match behind a three-game victory in the second spot.

The hosts responded with four-consecutive victories for a 7-1 advantage. Anne Glassie eased past Emma Galambos in the middle of the ladder (11-5, 11-7, 11-4), while Emily Beinkampen defeated Katie Bull in the seventh spot (11-2, 11-3, 11-8). Gwen Davis was victorious at No. 8 against Natalie Bachman (11-9, 11-1, 11-4), while Virginia Schaus claimed a three-game win against Katie Manernach at No. 4 (11-7, 11-8, 11-7).

The Bobcats posted a four-game win atop the lineup for the final 7-2 score.
