Panther Quintet Receives CSA Scholar Athlete Award

Five members of the women's squash team were tabbed CSA Scholar Athletes.

The #16 Middlebury women's squash team had five student-athletes earn College Squash Association (CSA) Scholar Athlete recognition. The award is bestowed upon junior and senior athletes who demonstrate excellence both on and off the court.

The honorees are Lindsey Burnham, Abbie Peterson, Izzy Ronda, Madeline Schwarz and Sabrina Schwarz. Only Williams (seven) and Georgetown (six) had more athletes earn the laurel.

The five helped lead the Panthers to a 13-7 record and a spot in the NESCAC Semifinals. During the campaign, the program reset the mark for consecutive wins in a season, achieving 10 in a row from November 21 to January 24. Middlebury also earned the top seed in the Kurtz Cup and had two All-NESCAC First Team selections.

To secure a spot on the list, student-athletes must have earned a varsity letter and played a top-10 ladder position for the majority of scheduled CSA-sanctioned matches during the 2025-2026 season while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. The full list of honorees may be found here.
