The Middlebury men's golf team sits in third place after 18 holes of action at the 2018 NESCAC Golf Fall Qualifier. Trinity leads the field with a 291, followed closely by Hamilton (292) and the Panthers (293). Day two of the tournament will take place on Sunday, with the top four teams advancing to the spring championship. The event is being hosted by Wesleyan at the Lyman Orchards Golf Club.
Reid Buzby led the Panthers on day one with a 71, tying for second overall. One stroke behind and in fourth place was Jordan Bessalel, who shot a 72. Phin Choukas and Kenneth Dieker each carded 75s on the first day of play, placing them in a tie for 14th place. Rounding out the squad was David Packer, who shot a 78, good for a tie for the 25th spot.
