The Panther men's golf team placed second among eight squads at the Williams Spring Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club. Trinity won the NESCAC event with a two-day total of 598, followed by Middlebury (607) and the host school (621). Panther individuals will take part in the NESCAC Championship next weekend.
Taking home medalist honors at the event was Jeffrey Giguere, who shot a 74 and a 75 for a two-round total of 149. Finishing in a fourth-place tie was Jordan Bessalel with a 151 (76-75), while Reid Buzby was one stroke back in eighth, carding a 72 on Sunday (80-72-152). Tying for 17th place overall was Philippe Morin with a 158 (80-78), followed by David Packer (82-87-169) and David McDaniel (77-93-170). John Stenovec also competed for the Panthers, shooting a 74 on day one to finish with a 159 (74-85) overall.
