Eighth-ranked Denison (7-2) scored six-straight goals midway through the game, on its way to a 12-7 victory over Middlebury (3-4) on Tuesday night. The Panthers return home on Saturday when they host seventh-ranked Amherst at 2:00 p.m.

Middlebury came out strong with goals from Henry Riehl and Jack Gould to give them a 2-0 lead at the 10:12 mark. Jake Waxter put the Big Red on the board, before a man-up goal by Michael McCormack gave the visitors a 3-1 lead. Denison closed the quarter with two goals, including a tally with one second left from Peter Pittroff to tie the game at 3-3 after 15 minutes.

After Riehl put Middlebury up 4-3 just 1:17 into the second quarter, Denison scored the game's next six goals, four of them in the second quarter for a 7-4 lead at the half.

The Big Red extended their lead to 9-4 in the third, before Riehl broke up the run with his third of the game with 4:36 remaining in the third quarter.

Trailing 10-5, Middlebury's Parker Lawlor found the back of the net with 34 seconds left in the quarter, cutting the lead to 10-6 after 45 minutes.

The Panthers kept coming, making it a 10-7 game with 10:04 remaining when A.J. Kucinski found Chase Goree.

The score held until the final minutes when Denison scored twice to seal the 12-7 victory.

Riehl extended his goal-scoring streak to 14 games with his three tallies, while Kucinski's point streak moved to 24 games with an assist. Charles Midgley made eight saves in goal. Jake Madnick won 10-18 faceoffs and picked up six ground balls, while Laurence Jackson forced three turnovers with five rollers.

Denison's Brooks Davy led all goal scorers with four, Pittroff scored twice with six assists, while Owen Armstrong earned three tallies. Stephen Paras made four saves in goal for the hosts.
