Former director of athletics and head men's lacrosse coach Erin Quinn '86 has been announced as a member of the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Hall of Fame Class of 2026.

"I am honored to be recognized by the IMLCA, as it represents the hard work of the Middlebury College student-athletes I was privileged to coach and the assistant coaches who were critical to our success," said Quinn. "It is particularly gratifying and humbling to be inducted with other Division III coaches we competed against, including Coach Bugbee, one of my closest coaching colleagues."

Quinn took the reins as head coach of the Panther men's lacrosse program in 1992 and turned the squad into a national powerhouse. He posted a 202-38 record over 15 seasons and led the team to three consecutive NCAA Championships from 2000 to 2002, making them the fourth men's lacrosse team in any division to achieve the feat.

Under his guidance, the navy and white made 10 NCAA Tournament appearances and won six NESCAC titles from 2001 to 2006. Quinn was named the 2001 College Lacrosse USA Division III National Coach of the Year and earned the NEILA Division III Coach of the Year award five times. He coached 34 All-American selections and was named the conference's coach of the year in 2003. In 2003, Quinn was inducted into the New England Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Quinn left the sidelines to become the athletic director in the fall of 2006. He oversaw the department for two decades until he retired from the college on June 30, 2026.

The 2026 IMLCA Hall of Fame induction ceremony and reception will take place on Friday, December 11, 2026 in Orlando, Florida, as part of the IMLCA's Winter Summit programming hosted at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.
