Box Score The Middlebury women's hockey team completed a two-game sweep of Trinity (0-2, 0-2) with a 4-0 win over the Bantams on Saturday afternoon at the Kellner Center. The fifth-ranked Panthers (2-0, 2-0) return to action next Saturday when they host Elmira at 4:00 p.m. in the Panther/Cardinal Classic.
Middlebury outshot the Bantams, 13-6, in the first period as Jenna Marotta scored 40 seconds into a power play (12:44) from Alexis Ryan and Madie Leidt on a wrist shot from just outside the left face-off circle.
The Panthers scored three times in the second period, including a pair from Katie Hargrave at 1:35 and 13:21, with the latter coming in a five-on three situation. Jenna Letterie sandwiched a goal in between the pair and finished with a goal and an assist, while Leidt had two helpers for the Panthers.
Trinity goaltender Kai-Lilly Karpman finished with 32 saves, while Anna Goldstein stopped all 24 Bantam shots to for her third career shutout.
