Kennedy Wilson Hired As Assistant Women’s Ice Hockey Coach

Kennedy Wilson joins the Panthers after a successful playing career at St. Lawrence.
Middlebury has announced the hiring of Kennedy Wilson as an assistant women's ice hockey coach. Wilson joins the program after completing a four-year NCAA Division I ice hockey career at St. Lawrence University.

"Kennedy Wilson is a tremendous addition to our coaching staff," said head coach Bill Mandigo. "She had a very successful career at St. Lawrence and comes highly regarded as one of the top young minds in our profession. Kennedy brings leadership and is passionate about the game of ice hockey while caring deeply about the development and growth of our players."

"I'm extremely excited and honored to be joining the Middlebury community and to be a part of a community with such a strong tradition of athletic excellence," said Kennedy. "It's been a dream of mine to coach at the collegiate level, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Coach Mandigo and learn from one of the best coaches in the game. I can't wait to get on campus, connect with the student-athletes and contribute to a program with such a remarkable history of success. Go Panthers!"

Wilson has gained coaching experience and leadership skills throughout her time as a player, most notably working as a counselor at the CAN/AM Hockey Camp in Lake Placid, New York. She has also volunteered with Sticks Together in Kenya and the Little Saints Big Future Club at St. Lawrence.

Wilson has continued her work in the digital realm this summer as a production assistant with Light The Lamp Digital. She has created and edited content for small businesses to deliver client-ready assets utilizing several resources.

On the ice, Wilson skated in 152 career games and tallied 45 career points on 22 goals and 23 assists. The forward served as the team's captain during her senior campaign and was named the program's Bernie McKinnon Most Valuable Player and the Mandi Schwartz Scholar Athlete of the Year nominee.

Wilson graduated magna cum laude from St. Lawrence last May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in digital media and film, earning Digital Media Honors from the institution. She also minored in sports and exercise science and communications, was a Dean's List member six times and earned a pair of ECAC All-Academic Team honors. She was the recipient of the Augsbury/North Country Scholarship.
