The Middlebury men's golf team hosted Williams, Trinity and Hamilton at the fifth-annual Ekwanok College Tournament held at the Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester, Vermont. Eight golfers participated for each team, with the top-six scores counting for each squad.
Trinity took home the Sap Bucket with a total of 447, 10 strokes better than Middlebury. Williams was next with a 459, followed by Hamilton.
Beau David of Williams won the event with a 68, three strokes better than the next finisher.
Phin Choukas led the Panthers and tied for fourth overall with a 73. Two strokes back in a tie for eighth was Reid Buzby with a 75, while David McDaniel was one shot back with a 76, good for a tie for 10th. Philippe Morin and Chris Thompson both shot 77 on the day, while Jordan Bessalel came in with a 79. David Packer (81) and Kenneth Dieker (87) rounded out the Middlebury squad.
