The Panther men's golf team paced third among 23 teams competing at the 84th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship on Monday at The Captains Course. The team victory was the third in a row for Babson, who shot 300 on in the final round to claim a one-shot victory over Williams with a 36-hole total of 613. The Ephs posted a 304 total on Monday, while Middlebury shot 303 to finish in third place with a two-day total of 618. Husson (627) and Nichols (628) rounded out the top five. The event wrapped up the fall season for the Panthers.
Reid Buzby was the top finisher among 114 golfers, taking home medalist honors with a two-day total of 145 (73-72). Philippe Morin turned in his best rounds of the fall, with a 78 on Sunday and a 73 on Monday to finish in fourth place with a 151. Earning a season-best tie for eighth place was David Packer, who carded a pair of 77s for a 154. Chris Thompson was next for the Panthers with a 168 (87-81), followed by David McDaniel, who shot a 183 (96-97).
