The Middlebury men's golf team placed fourth among nine teams competing at the Saratoga Invitational hosted by Skidmore at the Saratoga National Golf Course. Babson won in a tiebreaker over Trinity, each shooting a 590. RPI followed with a 592, three strokes ahead of the Panthers (595). Middlebury returns to action next weekend at the NEIGA Championship.
Reid Buzby fired a 69 on Sunday to finish in a tie for second overall with a 143. Next for the Panthers was Philippe Morin (70-80), who earned a two-day total of 150 to tie for 11th overall. Shooting a 151 (72-79) was Chris Thompson to join others in 16th, while Jordan Bessalel was next with a 158 (78-80). Also competing was Phin Choukas, who shot a 73 on Sunday.
