Middlebury scored the game's final three goals on its way to a 4-1 win over Connecticut College (0-2, 0-1) on Kohn Field. The fourth-ranked Panthers (2-0, 1-0) return to action next Saturday when they visit Amherst, while the Camels host Smith on Wednesday evening.

Middlebury took a 1-0 lead 16:52 into the game when Molly Freeman tipped in a shot from Lauren Schweppe on a penalty corner.

Conn. made it a 1-1 game at the 22:27 mark when Enya McGarry redirected a shot from Caroline Ferro to tie the game.

Freeman struck again for the Panthers as time expired in the first half, giving her team a 2-1 lead at the intermission. The goal was scored in the same fashion as she tipped in a shot from Schweppe on a penalty corner for her third of the year.

The lead grew to 3-1 just 2:29 into the second half with another penalty-corner tally. Audrey Quirk inserted the ball to Grace Jennings, who stopped it before a blast from Annie Leonard hit the back of the cage for her third of the season. The goal was the 60th of her career for Leonard, tying Reid Berrien '08 for third all-time on the Panthers' goal-scoring list.

Erin Nicholas earned the final goal of the game at the 50:50 mark, redirecting a shot on the right side, after a crossing pass was deflected in the circle.

Middlebury held a 20-5 shots' advantage in the contest, holding an 11-4 edge in penalty corners. Megan Collins was forced to make just one save to earn the win, while Andi McGraw stopped eight shots for the Camels.
