Serrao Competes on Day Two of NCAA Championship

Kevin Serrao represented the Middlebury men's track & field team in the 800-meter run on day two of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The three-day event is being hosted by the University of Mount Union and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission at the SPIRE Institute.

During Friday's preliminary run, Serrao, who set a school record with a time of 1:50.50 during the Open New England Championships, posted a time of 1:51.70, good for 11th place. The top-two finishers in the three heats along with the next three fastest times will run in the finals on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Panther men's 4x400-meter relay of Arden Coleman, James Mulliken, Jimmy Martinez and Alex Nichols will run for a national title at 4:00 p.m. The quartet recorded a time of 3:13.16, good for fifth place during Thursday's preliminary. The team tallied the nation's quickest time of 3:11.95 during the Open New England Championships.
