Men's Golf Finishes Second at NESCAC Championship

The Middlebury men's golf team finished second at the 2017 NESCAC Championship hosted by Williams at the Taconic Golf Club. The host school took home the title with a 586 (294-292), followed by Middlebury (299-303-602), Trinity (602) and Amherst (628). The Panthers earned the second-place finish via a tiebreaker. Middlebury had won the last three NESCAC crowns and eight overall.

Williams claimed the top-four individual spots at the four-team championship meet. Middlebury's Rodrigo Andrade (76-74) and Philippe Morin (73-77) finished in a sixth-place tie, each shooting a two-day total of 150. Next up was Reid Buzby, who carded a 151 (78-73) for the weekend. Panther Jeffrey Giguere competed in the event in a tie for 12th place (74-79-153), while Joe Ko was 15th with a 156 (76-80).
