The Middlebury men's golf team finished second at the 2017 NESCAC Championship hosted by Williams at the Taconic Golf Club. The host school took home the title with a 586 (294-292), followed by Middlebury (299-303-602), Trinity (602) and Amherst (628). The Panthers earned the second-place finish via a tiebreaker. Middlebury had won the last three NESCAC crowns and eight overall.
Williams claimed the top-four individual spots at the four-team championship meet. Middlebury's
Rodrigo Andrade (76-74) and
Philippe Morin (73-77) finished in a sixth-place tie, each shooting a two-day total of 150. Next up was
Reid Buzby, who carded a 151 (78-73) for the weekend. Panther
Jeffrey Giguere competed in the event in a tie for 12th place (74-79-153), while
Joe Ko was 15th with a 156 (76-80).
