Glassie, Kuijpers, Comai Take Part in CSA Individual Championships

Middlebury women's squash players Anne Glassie, Beatrijs Kuijpers and Alexa Comai each participated in the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships held inside Dartmouth's Berry Squash Courts. Glassie claimed the consolation title with a 1-1 record in the Holleran Cup West bracket, while Kuijpers went 1-1 in the Holleran East draw and Comai dropped both of her matches in the Holleran North bracket.

Glassie squared off against Ryan Morgan of Drexel in her opening-round match, falling in three games (11-2, 11-8, 11-1). Placed in the consolation bracket, Glassie had byes all the way to the final, defeating Dartmouth's Julia Potter (8-11, 12-10, 11-7, 15-13) in four close games to claim the title.

In her first match, Kuijpers cruised by Vicky Arjoon of Bates in three games (11-5, 11-6, 11-5) before losing to Princeton's Samantha Chai by scores of 11-9, 11-7, 11-5.

Matched up with Dartmouth's Jacqueline Barnes in the round of 16, Comai was defeated in four games (11-6, 11-4, 8-11, 11-6). In the consolation draw, the second-year Panther fell to Engy El Mandouh of George Washington in four games (11-9, 3-11, 11-4, 14-12).
