A few members of the Middlebury track & field teams competed at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet on Saturday. The event was held in the Gantcher Center in Medford, Massachusetts and was non-scoring. Respective athletes and relays looked to qualify and better their respective marks for next weekend's NCAA Championships.

During the women's competition, Lucy Lang was fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.61, while Cate Skinner finished sixth in the mile (5:05.67).  The distance-medley relay team of Sasha Whittle, Paige Fernandez, Meg Wilson and Anna Willig crossed the line fourth with a time of 11:58.23.

On the men's side, Jonathan Perlman finished second in the mile and first among collegiate racers with a time of 4:12.41, the 11th fastest time in Division III. Ascencion Aispuro was 12th in the same event (4:21.06).

Selected Panthers will participate in the NCAA Indoor Championship next Friday and Saturday at the Residence Hall/Recreation Center in Naperville, Illinois.
