Women's Squash Cruises Past Hamilton

The 15th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team ended a successful stretch with its fourth home match in three days, earning a 9-0 victory Monday afternoon over #21 Hamilton. The Panthers (4-2) have won four-consecutive matches and return to action when they travel to #17 on Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. match.

In the win over the Continentals, the Panthers tallied three-game victories in each of the nine matches. Natasha Lowitt was the first to finish at #9 (11-2, 11-0, 11-5), while Alexa Comai doubled the Middlebury lead with a victory in the third spot (11-4, 11-1, 11-8). Audrey Ellen prevailed at #6 in three games (11-3, 11-3, 15-13), Lucy Bostwick surrendered just six points at #8 (11-2, 11-2, 11-2), while Anne Glassie scored the clinching fifth team point at #2 (11-5, 11-6, 11-5).

The final four victories for the Panthers were posted by Mira Chugh in the fifth spot (11-8, 11-4, 11-4), Caroline Jahrling at #7 (11-3, 11-3, 11-3), Beatrijs Kuijpers atop the ladder (11-3, 11-2, 11-8) and Liddy Renner completed the sweep with a triumph at #4 (11-6, 11-8, 11-5).
