The Middlebury swimming and diving teams continued their push toward the championship season with a road dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Union. The Panther women eased past the host Dutchwomen by a 150-91 score, while the men were edged by the Dutchmen, 128-113. Middlebury returns to action next Saturday when it hosts Williams at 1:00 p.m.

During the women's competition, the 400-yard medley relay quartet of Isabel Wyer, Celia Ripple, Frances VanderMeer and Morgan Burke were victorious with a time of 4:04.53.

Individual wins in the pool came from Angela Riggins in the 1,000 free (10:59.78), while Burke claimed the 100 free title (54.55). Additional triumphs were tallied by Wyer during the 500 free (5:14.15) and Maya Gomez in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.65).

On the diving boards, Elissa DeNunzio won both the 1-meter (240.75 points) and 3-meter diving events (269.47 points), respectively.

On the men's side, three Panthers picked up individual wins. David Keyes led the field to the wall in the 100 free (49.62), Brendan Leech won the 100 back (53.88), while Michael McGean won the 500 free by more than eight seconds with a time of 4:50.23.

The 200 free relay team of Christian Chiang, McGean, Will Pannos and Justin Cho capped off the meet with a winning mark of 1:31.72.
