The Middlebury men's golf team tied for third among 18 teams competing at the Williams Fall Invitational. The host school won the event with a two-day total of 599, followed by Trinity (604), Middlebury (619) and Tufts (619). Action took place at the par-71 Taconic Golf Club near the Williams campus. The Panthers return to action next weekend when they host the NESCAC Qualifier at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
Philippe Morin had another solid weekend, finishing second overall out of 90 with a two-day total of 144, including an even-par 71 on Saturday. Just two spots back was Reid Buzby, who was steady both days with a 74 and 73 to finish with a 147.
Ben Bichet shot a 163 (81-82), while Jeffrey Giguere (82-84) and David Packer (81-85) each shot a 166.
