Skidmore took home the title at the 33rd Annual Duke Nelson Tournament hosted by Middlebury College. The Thoroughbreds shot an impressive 292 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 588. The host school placed second with a 591 (297-294), followed by Trinity (606) and Rochester (608). Middlebury's second squad was solid as well, placing fifth overall with a 611. Action took place the 6,317-yard par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. The Panthers return to action next weekend at the Williams Fall Invitational.
Skidmore's Mackenzie Nelson took home medalist honors, finishing with a one-under par two-day total of 141 (70-71). Middlebury's Philippe Morin was next with a 143 (71-72), while Panther Reid Buzby tied for third with a 144 (74-70). Joe Ko tied for 20th place (75-78-153), Rodrigo Andrade was tied for 26th (77-77-154), while Ben Bichet came in with a 155 (80-75), good for a 37th-place tie.
Highlighting Middlebury's second team were Jeffrey Giguere (75-77) and David Packer (76-76), who both tied for 13th place with a two-day total 152.
