Men's Golf Captures Inaugural Fall Classic in Lake Placid

The Middlebury men's golf team opened up its fall season by hosting the Middlebury Fall Classic at the Lake Placid Golf Club in New York. The Panthers took home the title with a two-day total of 602, including a 296 on day one. Skidmore finished second (608) in the six-team event, followed by Rensselaer (619). The par-72 course covered 7,340 yards, while the event featured 33 golfers.

Earning medalist honors was Middlebury's Reid Buzby, who shot even par 72 on day one and carded a 74 on day two for a 146. Philippe Morin tied for third (71-77-148) with the best score of the tourney on the first day of competition. Placing fifth at the event was Rodrigo Andrade, who finished with a 149 (73-76). Ben Bichet was next for the Panthers, tying for 15th place with a 160 (80-80), followed by Graham Kenter in a 17th-place tie after carding a 161 (82-79). Also competing for Middlebury was David McDaniel (80-83-163), who placed 23rd.
