Day One Complete for Men's Golf in Rhode Island

The Middlebury men's golf team sits in fourth place among 16 teams at the JWU Wildcat Spring Invitational hosted by Johnson & Wales. Action is taking place at the 6,915-yard, par 71 Cranston Country Club in Cranston, Rhode Island. Rhode Island College leads the event with a score of 315, followed by Williams (320), Nichols (321) and Middlebury. Action concludes on Sunday with 18 holes beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Philippe Morin led the Panthers on day one, firing a 75 to sit in a tie for second place. Next up was Reid Buzby, who shot an 82, followed by Bennett Doherty and Rodrigo Andrade, who each carded an 83. Fitz Bowen rounded the Middlebury squad on day one with an 84.
