The Middlebury men's golf team hosted Williams, Trinity and Hamilton at the third-annual Ekwanok College Tournament held at the Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester, Vermont. Eight golfers participated for each team, with the top-six scores counting for each squad.
Middlebury edged Trinity for the Sap Bucket after the Bantams took home the title a year ago. The Panthers shot a 462, followed by the Bantams (465), Williams (483) and Hamilton (498).
For the second-straight year, Middlebury's Reid Buzby took home medalist honors, but this year he shared the title with teammate Joe Ko. Both players shot 75 to stand atop the leaderboard.
Trinity held down the next two spots with Middlebury's Jeffrey Giguere also shooting a 76. Will Rosenfield and Taylor Kay-Green were the two Bantams in the top five.
Philippe Morin was next for the Panthers with a 78, while David McDaniel and David Packer rounded out the Panther scorers, each carding a 79. Ben Bichet (80) and Graham Kenter (84) rounded out the Middlebury golfers.
The tournament wrapped up the fall season for the Panthers, who will return to action in April.
