The Middlebury women's squash team was defeated 6-3 on Saturday by #11 Brown in the Panthers' final home match of the season. Middlebury (6-2) sees its six-match winning streak come to an end, as the 14th-ranked Panthers return to the court on Sunday when they take on #15 Franklin & Marshall in a match to be contested at Williams.

The Bears raced out to a 3-0 lead with wins coming from the #9, #6 and #8 spots in the ladder. Beatrijs Kuijpers garnered Middlebury's first point with a five-game marathon win at #3. Kuijpers lost the first game 13-11 to Brown's Izzy Scherl, but rebounded for 11-6 and 11-7 wins in games two and three. Scherl posted an 11-8 win in the fourth game, but Kuijpers cruised in game five by an 11-4 score.

A win by Brown in the seventh spot gave the visitors a 4-1 advantage. Middlebury's Alexa Comai pulled the Panthers to within two via a five-game triumph in the middle of the ladder. Brown's Katrina Northrop won the opening game 11-9, but Comai took a 2-1 lead with 12-10 and 11-8 wins in games two and three. Northrop earned the narrow win in the fourth game before Comai closed out the match with an 11-8 triumph in the decisive game.
