Lauren Pincus capped off her career as a member of the Middlebury women's track & field team with a ninth-place finish in the javelin toss during the final day of the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio.
In the final, Pincus recorded her best throw of the event with her first toss. She launched the javelin through the air to a distance of 139'7", good for ninth.
Back on March 22 during the Panthers' annual spring break trip to California, Pincus broke the 13-year old school record at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Meet. Pincus tossed the javelin 140'9", eclipsing the previous record of 139'11" set back in 2001 by Elissa Burnell.
