Union pitcher Andrew Beaule tossed a complete game in a 10-2 victory over Middlebury on Wednesday afternoon at Central Park. With the win, the Dutchmen improve to 16-6-1 on the year while Middlebury falls to 4-16. The Panthers return to action on Saturday in a home doubleheader with Trinity starting at noon.

After a scoreless first inning, the Dutchmen jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Eric Egan walked before Joe Bradlee doubled to left center field scoring Egan. Anders Goetz singled through the right side to score Bradlee,  after C.J. Worley popped up to the second baseman. Vincent Esposito finished off the inning by singling to left center to score Goetz.

Middlebury answered in the top of the third when Matt Leach scored on an error off a ground ball by Johnny Read. Union widened its lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the third. Fishman laid a perfect bunt down the third base line, plating Sam Caruso.

Union tacked on two runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth thanks to two-run hits by Esposito and Bradlee. Bradlee also scored in the fifth thanks to a passed ball.

Middlebury added its only other run in the top of the sixth when Joe MacDonald singled to left field to score Alex Kelly.

MacDonald was the lone Panther to have a multi-hit game going 2-3 with an RBI.

Fishman was 3-3 with a run scored and RBI, while Worley finished 3-4. 

Beaule (2-1) allowed two runs, one earned, in nine innings of work. He scattered five hits, walked two and struck out five.

Sawyer Olson (0-2) was saddled with the loss, as Middlebury used seven different pitchers in the contest.
