Men's Tennis Takes Two

The Middlebury men's tennis team moved to 4-0 on the season with a pair of wins in Atlanta to start its spring break. The 10th-ranked Panthers opened up their trip with a 7-2 win over Sewanee, before blanking Ogelthorpe by a score of 9-0 later that day.

Middlebury opened by taking all three doubles matches in the win over Sewanee (4-5), as the top-ranked team of Andrew Lebovitz and Brantner Jones earned an 8-2 victory. In singles play, Ari Smolyar, Zach Bruchmiller, Allen Jackson and Lebovitz were all straight-set winners in slots 3-6.

Middlebury lost just eight games in singles play and seven in doubles in a dominating 9-0 victory over Oglethorpe (6-7) later that day. After taking all three doubles matches, 18th-ranked Palmer Campbell earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at #1 singles, while 37th-ranked Courtney Mountifield was a 6-0, 6-1 winner in the #2 spot.
