Middlebury scored three power-play goals as the second-ranked Panthers recorded their fifth shutout of the season, blanking host Hamilton 3-0 in NESCAC action in Russell Sage Rink. The Panthers (12-1-3, 8-0-3 NESCAC) outshot Hamilton 27-6 over the first two periods and capitalized on three of their 10 power play opportunities. The teams conclude their weekend series Saturday with a 3:00 p.m. game.

Annabelle Jones made 11 saves for Middlebury and picked up her eighth career shutout and third this winter. The Panthers finished with a 34-11 advantage in shots.

Katie Mandigo and Emily Fluke scored first-period goals, while Katie Sullivan added a five-on-three score in the second period. Mandigo opened the scoring with a shot from the left face-off circle that beat Hamilton's Tori Bogen.

Fluke scored her seventh goal of the season with 2:22 left in the opening period, tipping in a shot that Anna Van Kula sent to the far post after Hamilton's Jill Tokarczyk had blocked Van Kula's initial shot.

The Panthers closed out the scoring 7:03 into the second. Katie Sullivan took a pass from Bielawski at the right face-off circle and sent it inside the near post for her sixth power-play goal and 11th overall. The assist was Bielawski's NESCAC-leading 13th assists, while Mandigo picked up her seventh helper.

Hamilton's best scoring chance came early in the third when Jones sprawled forward to stop a shot by Stephanie Lang. The rebound trickled in front of the open net but the Continentals (6-9-2, 0-7-2 NESCAC) were unable to control it before the Panthers cleared the puck.

Bogen made a career-best 31 saves for Hamilton.
